Dr. Haris Kontoes, Research Director of NOA and Scientific Director of the BEYOND Operational Unit of IAASARS/NOA participated in the workshop of the International Telecommunications Union on Artificial Intelligence for natural disasters management which was held on the 24^th of October 2022, at the Ministry of Digital Governance.

In the session "AI for forecasting and projecting" more than 50 participants had the opportunity to learn more about the EU award-winning system and e-shape pilot 2.4 | EYWA - EarlY WArning System for Mosquito-Borne Diseases, with a presentation entitled: "EYWA: An established Early Warning System Expanding to new Frontiers".
