Industry Track launches at GEO Week 2019

GEO Secretariat launches the Industry Track!

Technology and space companies from around the world are invited to participate in GEO Week 2019 as part of the brand new Industry Track.

e-shape @FOSS4G Bucharest 2019

The FOSS4G (Free and Open Source Software for Geospatial) 2019, unfolded over 5 days, 26 to 30th of July 2019, in Romania, Bucharest. Evenflow has attended and introduced the e-shape project to a community of highly skilled software developers from all corners of the world who could potentially contribute to user uptake in their respective areas.

e-shape @ EuroGEOSS 2019, 3-5 July 2019, Lisbon, Portugal

The EuroGEOSS Workshop took place from 3 to 5 July 2019 at the Pavilhão do Conhecimento in Lisbon (Portugal). The event was co-organised by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) and the European Commission. 

e-shape @World Soils 2019 User Consultation Meeting

A user consultation workshop on space-based EO tools for mapping and monitoring soils took place from 02 - 03 July 2019 at ESA ESRIN, Frascati, Italy with the aim to bring together stakeholders from the policy and user domain with remote sensing experts to discuss the necessary steps to develop such a system.

Our first e-shape article in GEO blog!

To strengthen Europe’s contribution to the Global Earth Observation System of Systems (GEOSS), EuroGEO has launched e-shape. With a user-centric approach to Earth observation (EO) data sharing, the system aims to improve forecasting capabilities for sound decision-making.

Our first e-shape result has “erupted” !

Mount Etna, Europe's most active and “youngest” volcano, spewed ash once again, on May 30th, 2019.

PollyXT lidar at PANGEA-NOA station of Antikythera Greece (35.86N, 23.31E) was the first to capture the fingerprint of the activity and the dispersion of volcanic emissions is simulated with the FLEXPART-WRF model.

e-shape @ EXPANDEO 2019 "A day with EO Conference" 20th of June 2019, Brussels, Belgium

On the 20th and 21st of June EARSC held the first edition of its annual EXPANDEO event, bringing together the Earth Observation market. In total, the event hosted 160 attendees that either work in the EO industry, are institutional stakeholders or others who are affiliated with the Earth Observation Sector. This year was a special edition for EARSC since they also celebrated their 30 years anniversary!
